
An avid performer, Megan Thompson has performed many operas including Zanetto (Zanetto), The Magic Flute (Third Lady), Little Women (Cecilia March), Pirates of Penzance (Edith/Mabel), Berenice (Selene), and The Mikado (Pitti-Sing). Ms. Thompson has also appeared in a number of musicals, including The Rocky Horror Show (Janet). In addition to her operatic and theatrical performances, Ms. Thompson has been a featured artist in many concert series and has soloed with the Cleveland Chamber Choir in the world premiere of The Emergent Universe Oratorio. She's been singing with the Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist since 2012, both as a cantor and chorister. With her background in management and event coordination, Ms. Thompson was appointed Executive Director/Artistic Director of the Great Lakes Light Opera with the intent of developing a company focused on education and outreach in Northeast Ohio, which has since merged with Cleveland Opera Theater, where she is the Director of Education and Outreach. In addition to her role with Cleveland Opera Theater, Megan Thompson currently works at That Can Be Me Inc's Books@Work as Program Manager, working on programs spanning the globe.
