
A Cleveland native, Julie Myers-Pruchenski is an active vocalist in Northeast Ohio, having performed with the Cleveland Orchestra Chorus, Cleveland Orchestra Chamber Chorus, Cleveland Opera Chorus, Lyric Opera Cleveland, and the Mercury Theatre Company. Her favorite roles have been Emma Goldman in Ragtime, Maria von Trapp in The Sound of Music, and “The Businesswoman” in the World Premiere of Peter Mowrey’s Sangreal at the College of Wooster. She is the Cantor at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Westlake, as well the Director of their Chancel Choir and Chancel Ringers Handbell Choir, along with teaching beginning band classes at their school. She is the Manager of the Lutheran Wind Ensemble, playing flute and percussion with the group. She also maintains a voice studio from her home. She has earned a B.M. in Vocal Performance and a B.M.E. from Baldwin-Wallace University, and has participated in intensive post-graduate study at Cleveland State University. In her spare time, Julie enjoys long-distance walking/running, crocheting, watching classic movies, and spending quality time with her husband and daughter.
