Dr. Jami Lercher brings 14 years of public school teaching experience to her role as Assistant Professor of Choral Music Education at the Baldwin Wallace Conservatory. She currently conducts the BW Treble Choir, teaches courses in choral methods, vocal techniques, and conducting, and supervises student teachers. As a Rotary Ambassadorial Scholar, she completed her master’s degree at the University of Wales, Bangor. Her time abroad inspired a DMA in choral conducting from the University of Miami (FL) where she researched Welsh composer Morfydd Owen (1891-1918). Before moving to Cleveland, Jami sang as a contracted singer with the Minnesota Chorale for eight seasons. She also served as the artistic director of the South Florida Jewish Chorale for two seasons and is an active clinician and conductor for NAfME, ACDA, and NCCO events. When not making music, Jami can be found spending time outdoors with her husband and daughter.
