A northeast Ohio native, Anna E White, soprano, has been a member and soloist with the Cleveland Chamber Choir since its debut season in 2015.  Heralded by world-renowned composer Cecilia McDowall for a voice that is ‘stunning and poised with such grace and beauty of tone,’ Anna performs regularly in the Cleveland area, singing for outreach events with Cleveland Opera Theater and Blue Water Chamber Orchestra, and gala events at the Cleveland Museum of Art, with a performance last spring of composer Cenk Ergün’s new work Formare.  In addition to singing with Cleveland Chamber Choir, Anna has sung several choral works with the Cleveland Orchestra Chorus, where she sang the role of Maidservant in Bach’s St. John’s Passion with the Cleveland Orchestra at Severance Hall.  She performed in the Cleveland Orchestra’s opera chorus for Mozart’s Cosí fan Tutte alongside the Zurich Opera Company.  She sang the title role of Della in David Conte’s opera The Gift of the Magi with Great Lakes Light Opera, now a merger with Cleveland Opera Theater.  She debuted with the Akron Symphony Orchestra as Mustard-seed (Faerie One) in Mendelssohn’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream and returned last year for Akron Symphony’s concert version of West Side Story.  Concert credits include soprano soloist for Vivaldi’s Gloria, Haydn’s Creation, and Handel’s Messiah.  Anna is the co-creator of the two-woman show Musings of a Singing Mother, debuting in 2019 with future performances with her colleague in 2020.  In addition to performing, Anna maintains a private voice studio and serves extensively at the Aurora School of Music and Stagecrafters Youth Theatre as a substitute voice teacher.  Anna received her bachelor’s degree in vocal performance at Wheaton College
Conservatory and resides in Medina, Ohio with her husband and three children.
